5 things I learned from Disney’s animation, ‘Soul’
I recently watched the Disney animation ‘Soul’ on Disney+ and I could not have felt more emotional and inspired. Soul follows the story of a music teacher named Joe Gardner, who tries to reunite his soul with his body after he suffers a fatal accident right after his big break as a musician. We join Joe Gardner on this thrilling and spiriting journey that tugs on the heartstrings of adults and children alike. I never thought I would learn so much from Disney Animation. Here is what I learned.
1. Life is too short & nothing is certain
Very early on in the film, we witness the near-fatal accident Joe has just after he has made his big break and achieved his first band gig with a famous jazz band.
The reality of our existence is that we never know when we reach the end of the road, our mortality Is what brings meaning and purpose to our lives. I learned the importance of living each day as if it were my last and loving those around me as if it were the final time, I would see them. The reality of it is that we never know when it is our time to leave this earth, which leads me to my second learning.
